Follow Radley Dog’s Journey to the Platinum Jubilee with our Collectible Designs
17 May 2022
Get ready for a celebration like no other this summer. Our Platinum Jubilee Collection commemorates the many special moments set to take place across the UK. Starting with an invitation for our Scottie mascot.
Something very special has landed on our Piccadilly doorstep. It’s one wax-sealed envelope wristlet addressed to Radley dog, inviting him to Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 at Buckingham Palace. Complete with an appliqué leather stamp, Queen’s Guard illustration, and of course our excited Scottie.
Radley’s journey from our Piccadilly home to the palace makes the perfect addition to our Book Street library. Luckily for Radley (and his little legs) we’re very close by. Our artisans have brought his route to life with leather hand stitching, foil embossing and appliqué.
The detailing on our Platinum Jubilee picture bag is truly next level. From the red, white and blue leather wrapped handles. To the foil print Buckingham Palace illustration. Let’s hope he remembered to pack his invitation.
It’s one of our favourite British traditions. A street party complete with plenty of sweet treats (Victoria sponge anyone?). Our tote features Radley Dog continuing the celebrations with some new friends, including one of The Queen’s beloved pet corgis. Don’t think you could love this tote any more? Well, we’re happy to report it’s made with a recycled cotton canvas base.
Our covetable grab bag is inspired by The Queen’s Green Canopy, a tree-planting initiative created to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which invites people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”. Even Radley dog and his new friends, the corgis, are getting in on it.
Sally, our Senior Designer, took the lead on this collection. We love the double celebration the team managed to achieve.
“We’re so proud to have had the opportunity to design this collection. Every bag is a celebration, of the Platinum Jubilee, and our craftsmanship.”
These collectible designs will be sold in selected official royal residences including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, as well as in Radley London stores and online.
