New Spring Picture Bag: Life Is Rosy For Our Scottie

17 May 2023

Stop and smell the roses – we’re talking about the ones on our new collectible picture bag, of course. From our Spring collection, it’s a feast for the senses. Full of texture and detail. Take a walk through the iconic flower garden scene and experience the season with Life Is Rosy by your side.

“We had to do this world-famous garden justice with one of our most detailed picture bags ever.”

Alice, one of the talented Designers behind this new collectible, tells us all about it.

“It’s inspired by the spectacular rose garden in London’s Regent’s Park. There are peacocks roaming there, so we had to have one of those in the design. And it’s our first time having embroidered flowers and glitter on a picture bag. You’ll notice the foil detailing on the water coming out of the fountain, too. We really went all out for this one.”

Have you spotted all the craftsmanship techniques Alice mentioned? Take a closer look at the peacock in the tree to spot the glitter prints. No wonder this character is so proudly showing off his tail feathers.

This pretty scene also features:

  • An embossed ladder for our Scottie’s dachshund friend

  • Lots of screen prints (20 to be exact)

  • Embroidered flower blossoms on the front and back

  • Nine leather appliqués, like those giant roses that are subtly padded for extra impact. (They’ve certainly caught Radley dog’s attention.)

All these intricate details are why it takes our artisans up to 15 hours to make just one of these panels.

“It’s inspired by the spectacular rose garden in London’s Regent’s Park.”

Now you’re all caught up on the never-been-seen-before details, we’ll pop inside (the bag, that is) to assure you that it has the same three compartments you’ll find in all our multiway picture bags. So don’t worry about staying organised. Those sections do it for you.

Back to Alice.

“This bag will be perfect for any spring events you have coming up. And we can’t forget there’s also a matching purse too.” It’s true and this coordinating accessory is crafted with many of the same intricate details, just in miniature. All courtesy of our artisans.

Oh that? It’s #ThatRadleyFeeling. You’ll experience it when you discover more from our Spring ’23 campaign too, including new-in styles from our nature-inspired March Edit.
