The July Edit: Our Handcrafted Take on Hot Summer Trends

Coming soon to the pages of every glossy magazine, we’ve got the summer bag trends you need to know. But we’ve also added an extra special twist to them with our artisan craftsmanship. Take a look at some of the best styles from our joyful July Edit.
GET THE SCOOP
It’s our Liverpool Street 2.0 cross body like you’ve never seen before. We introduced this silhouette earlier in the season, we know you’ll love it for that on-trend scoop shape. And now it’s ready for every event in your calendar with this incredible embellishment detail, inspired by the Pearly Kings and Queens of London’s East End markets. With the same design also on our multiway shape. The look is completed by our new favourite colour - Jade. Over to one of our Design Team, Liz, to tell you a bit about it.
“Liverpool Street 2.0 Pearly is all hand-studded by our fantastic craftspeople. There’s some incredible detail to it. For instance, the large bag has 162 individual studs, and the cross body has 82. Each stud takes one of our artisans 15 seconds to attach, so it takes over 40 minutes to complete this part of the detailing for the large style alone.”
OVER YOUR SHOULDER
A little bit ‘90s inspired (and approved by our Scottie mascot), consider brightening up your wardrobe with Dukes Place in a vibrant colour we’ve named Ginger Biscuit. This tuck-under-your-arm shape is a new silhouette for an always-popular style. Crafted from the same soft grained leather that only gets better over time.
PUT THIS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST
We knew bucket bags were going to be huge for seasons to come. So of course we had to put our spin on this trend. Enter Lynscott Way. A structured shape in beautiful veneer leather that complements any summer outfit.
CRAFT HEROES
Although it’s certainly not just a trend for us (it’s been a part of our DNA since we made our first handbag), crafting details are popping up across the catwalks and we’re delighted to lead the way.
Take our latest edition of Book Street. Introducing Radley’s London Market Diary, complete with an incredibly intricate ‘cover’ featuring a punch-out border and hand-finished leather chevron stitching. If you’re looking for a highly detailed style but want a little more space, we’ve got you.
Let’s talk about Aster Way (we might be here a while).
Sally, one of our Senior Designers, picked this as her favourite style of the season.
“I love Aster Way Patchwork for the beautiful detailing - like the turned-up edges. And the colours work so well together.”
There’s so much beautiful crafting detail to see in just one bag. Sally mentioned the tucked up base corners that enhance the squishy, pillowy feel. And the colour combinations in the grained leather patchwork that will work with any outfit, in any season. Definitely one made to be shown off.
We’ve given another popular style a patchwork makeover too. Pockets 2.0 is going to prove popular.
